On Writing Well

"If you find that writing is hard, it's because it is hard."

When I read this quote, I could not help but disagree with it. If i was to write this quote I wouldn't say that writing in general is hard. I would write that certain writing tasks can be found as hard. Many people approach writing in different ways. For example, when someone writes in their diary, it is not hard because they just write how they feel, or if someone is just writing a note to their friend it is not hard. Writing a research essay may be difficult, or writing with precise and flawless grammar may be difficult. For me, and many others, writing can seem natural and easy, unless the task laid out is hard.

My zen moment was when I was in the Bahamas. I was laying on the beach surrounded by the perfect, white sand and the crystal clear water. I looked out at the ocean and it was the brightest shade of blue and blended right in with the sky. It was so peaceful and I was so content just looking around. When I went into the water I could see right down to my feet and I could lay there so still, like in a swimming pool. I would do anything to go back.
